On May 6, 2017, at 1:30pm, Ashleigh’s Tree of Life Celebration was attended by some close friends and family.  A maple tree was planted in memory of Ashleigh’s beautiful life in front of the Art, Music and Theater Visual and Performing Arts building.

A plaque will be made ready and installed by the tree. While the plaque was not ready for the tree ceremony a hand-fashioned posting held its place and read:

“How can it be said that I am gone when all the world is here to look on me.” – Ashleigh Nicole Langbein 2007

The quote was taken from the Shakespearean work A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The tree was encompassed by Ash’s friends the ceremony included, among many other things, a rendition of her sorority Alma-matter, a few words from friends and family and lots of laughter and tears.

We thank all the people who made this possible and all who showed up to show their love and support. We would also love to thank the donors for their time and materials for this project.
